PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal recording material having excellent preservability and high thermal color forming property, by providing on a base a recording layer comprising a coupling component, a color forming adjuvant and a diazo component contained in microcapsules constituted of specified constituents. CONSTITUTION:A diazo compound is contained in microcapsules constituted of a polymer which is formed in the periphery of a core substance by a reaction between at least one polyvalent isocyanate constituting the first wall film forming substance and at least one polyol constituting the second wall film forming substance capable of reacting with the isocyanate to form a polymer. A coupling component, a color forming adjuvant and the microencapsulated diazo component are applied to a base such as a paper or a synthetic resin film by bar coating, blade coating or the like to produce a thermal recording material. |
