Construction of an electron control device (electrode plate) for flat self-illuminating display devices

Technology of an electron control device which is suitable for controlling gas-discharge displays and for vacuum displays. The electrode planes (Z, S) consist of families of straight solid conductors which are arranged parallel and consist of etched metal sheets. A photographic technique is used on both sides of the metal sheets for the connecting galvano-plastic construction of conductor-track strips. A metal coating, which adheres well, is then electroplated in places. In the further course of the method, trenches are etched in the carrier material and strips of insulation material are then applied onto one of the electrode planes, the two electrode planes are connected and the carrier material is selectively etched to form the galvanic construction, until separate conductor tracks are produced. <IMAGE>
