Process and apparatus for removing oils and pollutants from oil/water mixtures/emulsions

Oil and pollutants are removed by two or more electrolysis and flotation processes (5, 7) sequentially following in the loop principle (11). The oil phase is split off by the electrolysis from the oil/water mixture/emulsion and is borne by the flotation gas bubbles together with the light pollutants to an oil and pollutant layer forming at the surface. Even before entry into the loop process, the heavy pollutants are separated off by the centrifugal principle (3, 4). The oil layer is discharged (9, 10) cyclically with the operation running, as are also the pollutants.
