The invention relates to an electrical plug-in contact, consisting of a jack plug (11) and a jack socket (1) which fits it, having a plurality of annular contact pairs which are arranged on a common longitudinal axis and are in each case arranged at an axial distance from one another. In the case of such a plug-in contact, in order to avoid incorrect contacts being made while the contact parts are being joined together, the invention proposes that the plug (11) and the socket (1) have a number of steps, corresponding to the number of contact pairs, having a diameter which increases from step to step and in whose surfaces, which consist of insulating material and are in the form of cylindrical casings, the contacts of the respective contact pairs are arranged, the socket step (3) which has the largest diameter being axially longer than the subsequent socket steps (4, 5, 6), and the axial distance (x) between the insertion end (7) of the socket step (3) having the largest diameter and the second socket contact (3a) (seen in the insertion direction) is larger than the axial distance (y) between the plug contacts (16a, 15a, 14a) (which are in each case located at the front in the insertion direction) having the smaller diameter and the start of the next plug step (15, 14, 13) in each case. <IMAGE> |
