The application describes a measuring arrangement and measuring method for in situ pressure measurements in the sea, which permits high-precision measurements. In accordance with the method, a special bridge circuit is used to make a direct measurement of the difference in electrical resistance between a pressure-dependent resistance material and a second electrical resistor, which is expediently, but not necessarily identical and which is protected in terms of pressure from the first. Since the resistors are also temperature-dependent, they are accommodated in a special arrangement which can ensure that the two resistors are always maintained at the same temperature.
