PURPOSE:To eliminate individual program generation to simplify the program control by reading out system generation information in a fundamental system in response to report of an instruction GETM and setting a program in accordance with this information and starting the program. CONSTITUTION:At the time of the instruction GETM instruction is issued from an instruction GETM issuing part 1 and is reported to a language analyzing program 5, an operating system 6 reads out system generation information 7 stored preliminarily in the fundamental system and reports it to a classification discriminating part 2 in response to the instruction GETM. The discriminating part 2 discriminates the classification of an external storage device in accordance with system generation information 7 and reports it to a classification setting part 3. By receiving this report, the setting part 3 starts one of application programs 4-1-4-N corresponding to the classification. Thus, the fundamental system selects automatically the application program adapted to the used classification and starts it.
