PURPOSE:To measure the electric resistivity of dust in exhaust gas by depositing dust collected by a cyclone and making the exhaust gas which passes in a flue penetrate the deposited dust. CONSTITUTION:A valve 11 is opened to supply high-pressure air to an exhauster 10 and the exhaust gas is admitted into the cyclone 5 from a duct 3 under negative pressure to deposit 6 particles of larger than specific particle size. At the time of the dust reaches a specific level, valves 9 and 11 are closed and a valve 23 is opened to start suction 24 and a high voltage is applied 26 between electrodes 12 and 13 and a current measured. The deposited dust is heated 14 and controlled 16 to optional temperature, and the electric resistivity of the dust corresponding to the temperature is measured while the gas penetrates the dust. The valves 9 and 11 are opened at the end of the measurement to connect pipes 18 and 19 and supply the high-pressure air from above a filter 10, and the deposited dust is discharged and removed 10 suctionally through the cyclone 5. The ducts 18 and 19 are disconnected again and a measurement is taken.
