In an ambulance (20) the stretcher platform device comprises a transversely displaceable lower frame (1), a top frame (8, 9) which can be pivoted thereon into a raised head position and a lowered head position via a transversely extending swivelling axis (2), and a stretcher platform (14) displaceable in the longitudinal direction on the top frame. The stretcher platform (14) can be pivoted relative to the top frame (8, 9) from the horizontal use position into a vertical non-use position about a swivelling axis (13) extending in the longitudinal direction.
