PURPOSE:To cause a starting air extractor to accomplish a replacement function when a commonly used air extractor is in a fault by providing a pipeline for supplying main steam and valve means interposed in said pipeline in a steam prime mover plant for supplying steam therein as a drive source for the starting air extractor. CONSTITUTION:The air extractor comprises a main steam supply system 9 for communicating the downstream side of a pressure adjusting valve 5a for commonly used air extractors 1a and 1b with the upstream side of a pressure adjusting valve 5b for starting air extractors 2a and 2b so as to supply main steam to starting air extractors 2a and 2b. By the above constitution, even when the operation of commonly used air extractors 1a and 1b becomes impossible, it is possible to rapidly supply main steam to the extractors starting air extractors 2a and 2b, and the changeover operation becomes easily possible and further the replacement function can be achieved quantatively.
