Continuous soap production

A continuous process for soap production is provided by direct saponification of oil or fat in a dynamic mixer of the rotor/stator type with an alkaline saponifying agent and recirculation of the saponified mixture. The dynamic mixer additionally has a pump function which brings about the flow-through and the recirculation, which makes an external pump unnecessary. If the glycerol produced in the saponification is left in the mixture, and if free fatty acids are added to the oil or fat which is to be saponified, it is easy to produce transparent soaps.
