The extraction column (1) is fed with liquid phase and gaseous phase at regular intervals, the noncontinuity of feed giving rise to pulsating motions which promote contact between the two phases inside the column. Two valves (9, 10) are inserted into the two pipes (2, 4) for feeding the column (1) with liquid phase and gaseous phase and are directly or indirectly servo-controlled by an adjustable timer (11) which determines the noncontinuity and the periodicity of feed to the column in the two phases. <IMAGE>
