摘要 PURPOSE:To enable prevention of the occurrence of knocking, by a method wherein an ignition correction amount at a time when an engine is in a given warming-up state is precisely learnt and stored as an ignition correction amount responding to a current operating state. CONSTITUTION:Based on an output from an operating state detecting means (b), detecting the operating state of an engine, a deciding means (c) decides whether an engine is in a given warming-up state. When the engine in the given warming-up state, a correction amount computing means (d) computes an ignition correction amount by which an ignition timing is corrected to the delay angle side so as to control knocking to a given level, a memory means (e) learns an ignition correction amount as an ignition correction amount responding to a current operating state, and allots the amount in proportion to a corresponding operation region to store it. An ignition timing set means (f) sets a fundamental ignition timing based on an operating state, reads an ignition correction amount responding to a current operation region from the memory means (e), and corrects a fundamental ignition timing according to an ignition correction amount.
