PURPOSE:To appropriately control supply of an image forming solvent and to eliminate the accumulation of the solvent by providing a means of applying an image forming solvent to a heat developing photosensitive material or an image receiving material and a cleaning roller for blotting the accumulated solvent generated on the end of the part to which said material is applied. CONSTITUTION:In a water applying part 34, a motor 66 rotates in synchronization with the conveyance of the image receiving paper 32, and an arm 56 is driven. Due to the conveyance of the image receiving paper 32, an applying roller 52 deposits a water in a water tank 72 on the surface so as to carry out, and forms an application water 70A on the back of the image receiving paper 32. When the application water 70A is coated by the necessary amount, the motor 66 reversely rotates to separate the applying roller 52 from the image receiving paper 32, whereby the reservoir 70B is formed on the tailing edge of the application water 70A. As the reservoir 70B advances together with the image receiving paper 32, a solenoid 82 is excited to rotate an arm 78 and bring it into contact with the reservoir 70B. Thus the cleaning roller 74 blots the reservoir 70B, which disappears.
