PURPOSE:To attain proper processing for a recorded message by providing a means for synthesizing a voice expressing a communication date and recording simultaneously the voice expressing the communication data in the case of the recording of a voice signal. CONSTITUTION:A recording circuit 7 is set in the standby state. When an incoming detection circuit detects a call signal and a call comes from a line 12, a line acquisition circuit 9 acquires the line 12. Successively, an automatic reply circuit 10 sends a voice message recorded in advance to the opposite party. The control circuit 11 makes the recording circuit 18 standby activates a voice detection circuit 17 to detect the presence of the voice of the opposite party. The voice message is recorded on a recording medium 13 via the recording circuit 8. Successively, the count information of a timer 15 is outputted and the voice synthesis circuit 14 converts the count information into voice information. Then the output of the voice synthesis circuit 14 is recorded on the recording medium 13.
