PURPOSE:To reduce torque difference between cylinders and beforehand restrain the generation of engine vibration accompanying torque fluctuation by limiting supercharging pressure in an intake path when the engine vibration exceeds a predetermined value. CONSTITUTION:A relief valve 17 is opened and a switch valve 20 is closed under the running condition of low rotation and low load so that cylinders II, III effect natural intake through an intake path 5. Cylinders I, IV are supercharged by a supercharger 23 in an intake path 4 and a portion of supercharged intake is bypassed to the intake path 5 through a bypass path 15. Under the running condition of low rotation and high load, the relief valve 17 is closed. However, when engine vibration is detected by a sensor 27 and the vibration exceeds a set value, a motor 22 is driven by a controller 21 to open the switch valve 20 in proportion to the magnitude of vibration.
