MAGNETIC HEAD AND ITS PRODUCTION

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a 'Sendust(R)' magnetic head having a high saturation flux density and high magnetic permeability and excellent high-frequency characteristic by using a laminated composite material formed by alternately laminating and fixing the foil of 'Sendust(R)' obtd. by repetition of rolling with heating rolls and nonmagnetic materials as the core of the magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:'Sendust(R)' has such ductility that the 'Sendust(R)' softens quickly and increases spreadability at 900 deg.C or above. The deformability thereof at 1,100 deg.C is equiv. to the deformability of an aluminum alloy. The 'Sendust(R)' is thoroughly rollable in said temp. region. The 'Sendust(R)' is rolled in said temp. region and a nonmagnetic layer of an oxide film or carbide film is formed on the surface thereof of a nonmagnetic metal or nonmetal is held in place between the rolled materials and again the rolling is repeated, by which the 'Sendust(R)' foil having <=10mum thickness per layer and the nonmagnetic layers are alternately laminated. The respective layers are united to each other by thermocompression bonding and the laminated material is thus obtd. The laminated material is formed to the shape of a core chip by machining such as blanking or chemical etching or laser beam processing by which the core material for magnetic heads made of 'Sendust(R)' is produced with good productivity.
