PURPOSE:To eliminate that files apart from a desired one are processed mistakenly and to improve operating efficiency by putting file names and identification marks for graphics and characters at every volume and displaying said identification marks. CONSTITUTION:An operator can register optical identification marks on a floppy disk 91 set to the driven part of an external memory device 9. An identification pat 7 which detects and displays the identification mark is provided and caused to write the identification marks in the external memory device 9, to take out said marks out of the external memory device 9 and to compare the marks. Thus the desired file can be surely recognized, whereby such trouble that data on an unintended file is mistakenly destructed can be previously prevented.
