1. An in-bowl testing matrix for determining the presence of occult blood in a stool sample comprising in combination:
a) means for testing of a stool sample including a substrate containing thereon an oxygen sensitive dye, and a peroxygen source capable of reacting with each other in the presence of occult blood; and
b) toilet contaminant monitor testing means consisting essentially of a substrate having an oxygen sensitive dye reactable with strong oxidizing agents present as contaminants in the solution.
