PURPOSE:To obtain stable performance free from stains by processing a silver halide color photographic sensitive material provided with at least one silver halide emulsion layer on a reflective support with a color developing solution containing substantially no benzyl alcohol but at least one of specified compounds. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide color photographic sensitive material provided with at least one silver halide emulsion layer on the reflective support is processed with the color developing solution containing substantially no benzyl alcohol but at least one of the compounds represented by the formula in which R<1> H, alkyl, hydroxyalkyl, or carboxy, and R<2> is H, alkyl, hydroxyalkyl, or aldehydo. Said compound may be added in an optional soluble amount in the color developing solution, but a practical amount is generally 0.01-20g/l, preferably, 0.1-5g/l. The color developing solution to be used contains an aromatic primary amine color developing agent, preferably, a p-phenylenediamine derivative, in an amount of 0.1-20g, preferably, 0.5-10g per l of the developing solution. |
