PURPOSE:To keep an air gap small, by surrounding a rotor in a machine, with a closed chamber formed with a front bracket and a rear bracket, a stator core, and a surrounding unit for covering a stator coil on both sides, and by feeding lubricant into the closed chamber. CONSTITUTION:A rotor 21 rotating together with a rotary shaft 1 is rotatably supported by bearings 14, 15. A front bracket 26 is firmly fitted on the bearing 14, and a rear bracket 30 is firmly fitted on the bearing 15, and on the inner peripheral surface of the front bracket 26, a stator core 10 is fitted. A stator coil 11 wound up on the stator core 10 is enclosed by a surrounding unit 24, and the tips 27 of the surrounding unit 24 are inserted into the concave sections 26a, 30a of the front and rear brackets, and a closed chamber 40 is formed on the periphery of the rotor 21. Lubricant 41 is fed into the closed chamber 40 and is put between the rotor 21 and a stationary section on the periphery. As a result, the air gap of a magnetic pass between the rotor and the stationary section is kept small, and the output is increased.
