PURPOSE:To prevent interference between an edge point measuring device and a tool, by leaving data, relating to an edge point resetting sequential route, to be stored in memory for every sensor surface and selecting the route corresponding to each sensor surface so as to reset an edge point avoiding a probe. CONSTITUTION:A device provides an edge point sequential route memory 11, which sets a moving direction and a moving distance of a sequential route, retreating an edge point from a sensor surface, for every sensor surface, and an edge point resetting route selecting circuit 12 which selects a sequential route from a sensor surface actually brought into contact with the edge point. Further the device, which provides an edge point resetting route point arithmetic circuit 15 calculating a resetting route point from a contact position of a sensor and an edge point surface resetting route, is equipped with a CPU1 substituting these edge point resetting route points for a control program to control a numerically controlled motor. As a result, the edge point can be automatically reset by preventing a tool from interfering with a measuring device. |
