PURPOSE:To prevent generation of noise due to engagement and disengagement between an engaging claw and a driven claw during low speed rotation by providing a driven claw member comprising a radial groove and an auxiliary weight urged in the groove in the centripetal direction by a push spring. CONSTITUTION:A driven claw member 11 is pressed in the outer surface of a boss portion of an input member, and a radial groove 17 is formed on the driven claw member 11. An auxiliary weight 18 is slidably fitted in each groove 17, and the outer surface of each auxiliary weight 18 is urged in the centripetal direction by a push spring 19 and retained at a retirement position where an engaging recess portion is formed. A stopper 20 integral with the auxiliary weight 18 is formed on the side of the driven claw member 11, and engaged with the inner surface of a peripheral groove 21 connected to the inside of the groove 17. Accordingly, when power is transmitted from a crankshaft to a centrifugal clutch, a driving claw 5 is brought into contact with the outer surface of a smooth retaining tube.
