<p>5-14472/= 3-Phenyl-4-cyanopyrrole derivatives, the preparation thereof, and method of use thereof as microbicides The invention relates to novel N-alkylated 3-phenyl-4-cyanopyrrole derivatives of the formula I (I), wherein R1 and R2, each independently of the other, are hydrogen, halogen, methoxy or methylthio, R3 is hydrogen or C1-C8haloalkyl, Y is hydroxy, halogen or the -O-C(O)-R4 group, and R4 is hydrogen, C1-C8alkyl, C1-C8 haloalkyl, C2-C6alkenyl, 2-tetra- hydrofuryl, 2-tetrahydropyranyl, C1-C6alkoxycarbonyl or the -CH(R5)-XR6 group, wherein X is oxygen or sulfur, R5 is hydrogen or C1-C3alkyl, and R6 is C1-C6 alkyl, (C1-C6 alkoxy)-C1-C6alkyl, C3-C6alkenyl, C3-C6alk- ynyl, phenyl or phenyl which is substituted by halogen, C1-C6-alkyl, C1-C6alkoxy, or C1-C6alkoxycarbonyl. The invention also relates to the preparation of these compounds by N-alkylation of the starting pyrroles, as well as to microbicidal compositions which contain a compound of formula I as active ingredient. Also disclosed is a method of controlling phytopathogenic micro-organisms which comprises the use of the novel compounds.</p> |
