PURPOSE:To properly carry out a shift operation, by providing a spring for biasing a driven disc, and canceling an outward shift component applied to the driven disc by the biasing force of the spring. CONSTITUTION:A pair of springs 32 are provided to bias a driven disc 19 toward the center of rotation of a driving disc 14 on both sides of a rotating shaft 21 of the driven disc 19. The biasing force of the springs 32 functions to hinder the driven disc 19 from being outwardly urged by a shift component generated at a frictional transmitting portion in operating the driven disc 19 to an increased speed position. Accordingly, a shift operating force of the driven disc 14 to the increased speed position is not reduced more than demand, thus properly carrying out the shift operation.
