PURPOSE:To optionally adjust an output density at an output equipment side by forming once a digital picture data into a multi-value and applying a desired density correction afterward so as to apply binarization. CONSTITUTION:Each picture output equipment is provided with a multi-value forming section 202 converting a digital picture data 101 into a multi-value density data 202a, a density conversion section 203 converting the density of the multi-value density data 202a and a binarizing section 204 binarizing the multi-value density data 203 a after density conversion. Even if the digital picture data 101 is a binary signal making the density expression impossible, the data is binarized by converting it once into a multi-value density data 203a. Thus, even if, e.g., an output equipment 200 is a different output medium, the density adjustment is attained in the inside of the output equipment so that the final output density becomes a desired density.
