PURPOSE:To reduce a shock at the time of resetting, by engaging a selecting pawl with an engaging projected part of a type wheel and slipping a projection of a driving pawl on the peripheral surface of a driving shaft. CONSTITUTION:A driving shaft 2 is provided with notched parts 3, 4 at the peripheral surface thereof. A type wheel 5 rotatably mounted on the driving shaft 2 is provided with types 7, 7' on the outer peripheral surface thereof, and is provided with engaging projected parts 8 at predetermined positions on the inner peripheral surface thereof. A driving pawl 20 is supported by the type wheel, and is provided with a projection 21 which can be engaged into the notched part of the driving shaft. A selecting ratchet 6 is rotatably fitted to the type wheel through the pawl, is provided with engaging parts 16, 17 which can be engaged to the driving pawl, and is provded with tooth parts 13 on the peripheral surface thereof. A selecting pawl 25 selectively retains the rotation of the selecting rachet by engaging with the both part of the latter. When selecting a type, the selecting pawl is engaged to the tooth part of the ratchet to fasten the latter, and the projection of the driving pawl is disengaged from the notched part of the driving shaft. After the type selection is finished, the engaging projected part of the type wheel is engaged with the selecting pawl, and the projection of the driving pawl slips on the peripheral surface of the driving shaft, thereby being engaged to the notched part. |
