PURPOSE:To stably maintain the firm adhesion of a screen base fabric to a photosensitive resin layer even with lapse of time, by subjecting the surface of the screen base fabric to a corona discharge treatment and immediately wrapping the base fabric with a wrapping material having a low moisture permeability or oxygen permeability. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a screen base fabric consisting of a monofilament fabric having a filament diameter of 25-150mum, selected from a natural or inorganic monofilament fabric, a regenerated cellulose monofilament fabric or a semisynthetic or synthetic moniflament fabric, is subjected to a corona discharge treatment, and the base fabric is immediately wrapped with a wrapping material having a low moisture permeability and/or a low oxygen permeability. The base fabric is preserved in the wrapped state, and at a desired time, a photosensitive resin layer is provided on the surface of the screen base fabric. The resin layer is subjected to patternwise exposure and development. The wrapping material is a material having a moisture permeability of not more than 50g/cm<2>.24hr/25mum under the condition of 40 deg.C and 90%RH, and/or having an oxygen permeability of not more tha 100cc/m<2>.24hr.atm/25mum under the condition of 25 deg.C and 50%RH. |
