PURPOSE:To contrive higher preservation stability to change with time, higher curling resistance, higher clearness of printed images and a higher clearness of perforation, by combining a polyester film with a porous base obtained by binding polyester resins by a fibrous binder material. CONSTITUTION:A polyester film having a thickness of not more than 5mum is used as a thermoplastic synthetic resin film, in a stencil paper which comprises the thermoplastic synthetic resin film adhered to a porous base by an adhesive and is capable of being perforated by IR rays. The porous base can be formed from polyester fibers and a fibrous binder material by a wet-type paper-making process. The fineness of the polyester fibers is set to be not more than 1.5 deniers, and that of the fibrous binder material is set to be not more than 1.5 deniers. A thermal stencil paper can be obtained by applying an appropriate adhesive to the polyester film, laying the porous base on the adhesive-coated film and adhering them, followed by drying via heating. The ratio of impregnation of the porous base with the adhesive is set to be not more than 60%. |
