摘要 PURPOSE:To simultaneously control operating movements in various processes with a single or small number of controlling devices by controlling the angles of machining tools which are installed on machining heads respectively while making them move in their respective plane coordinates system. CONSTITUTION:Machining heads 61-64 for edging, chamfering, finishing, and polishing which are loaded on a head base 60 machines a glass plate on a fixed table 31 along a prescribed track by means of rotating machining wheels 75-78, by numerically controlling the X-direction movement of a table 30 and the Y-direction movement of the head base 60. The angles of the machining heads 62-64 are adjusted by controlling a servo-motor 110 and rotating these machining heads 62-64 which are inclined by certain angles to a Z-axis, via a timing belt 109 and pulleys 106-108. Thereby, various machining of the end face of a glass plate can be favorably carried out with a small number of numerical controlling devices.
