PURPOSE:To make such an extremely good finished surface that has not surface deterioration and hair secureable in a short time, by electrolytically finishing a machining surface with a electrode having an electrode surface of a surface form after the machining surface of a metal work. CONSTITUTION:Using an electrode 2 having an electrode surface 2a of a surface form after a machining surface 1a of a metal work 1, this machining 1a surface is electrolytically finished. That is to say, electrodes 2 are set up so as to be opposed to the machining surface 1a of the work 1 at almost regular intervals. And, while making an electrolyte flow in a gas between these electrodes, an electric current is amide to flow from the side of the work 1 to the side of these electrodes 2 through the electrolyte. And, this device is provided with terminal rods (clamping device) 21 and 22 being lockable so as to cause a housing 14 forming an opening (an electrolyte passage) 16 to which the electrolyte is fed with pressure, the work 1 and these electrodes 2 to be situated in a passage. And, the work 1 and these electrodes 2 are connected to a DC power source each via the clamping device.
