PURPOSE:To eliminate the need to adjust the time after recovery from a power failure by using one display device for both a copy quantity display device and a time display device, providing a power failure detector, and supplying electric power to a timer device continuously in case of the power failure. CONSTITUTION:The display device 24 displays a copy quantity of time selectively and digitally. If a power source 40 enters a power failure state, a relay 42 is turned off and its normally open contact 42a is broken, so the normally closed contact of the relay 42 is made at this time; and electric power begins to be supplied from a backup power source 43 and a main controller 34 and the timer device 35 are powered up continuously. Thus, the correct time is maintained even if a power failure occurs and the time need not be corrected after the power failure is recovered. |
