PURPOSE:To enable color paint films as filters to be formed easily at low cost, by limiting the disposition of colors at each discharge passage of a fluorescent lamp. CONSTITUTION:If the chromaticity points of luminescent colors, red, green, and blue at discharge passages 2R, 2G, and 2B are strictly measured, it becomes clear that there is no need for using a filter for blue. Therefore, the center of a fluorescent lamp body A is restricted to the discharge passage 2B for blue. The lamp body A including the surface of a glass plate 6 corresponding to the discharge passage 2R is sunk into a color paint film liquid 11R for red in a receptacle 13. After the lamp body A is lifted up and reversed, the lamp body A including the surface of the glass plate 6 corresponding to the discharge passage 2G is sunk into a color paint film liquid 11G for green in a receptacle 14. After the lamp body A is lifted up again, the color paint film liquids 11R and 11G are dried, so that prescribed color paint films 12R and 12G are obtained.
