PURPOSE:To provide the functions of the titled instrument with variety by adding an information exchanging function with other instruments to an electronic clock. CONSTITUTION:Data to be stored in an electronic key 5 are applied from another instrument in synchronism with clock frequency 101. In case input data are applied, a control terminal 104 is turned to the 'H' level and signals from the input terminal 103 are successively stored in an N-bit shift register 100. In case of controlling another instrument by reading out the contents stored in the electronic key 5, a clock switch 105 is short circuited, the shift register 100 is successively shifted at the clock frequency 101 and the stored contents are read out from an output terminal 102 and inputted to another instrument.
