PURPOSE:To prevent positively a restraint layer from being gapped in manufacturing a damping structure consisting of a base member, a damping sheet and a restraint layer made of a steel sheet for the section to be damped of a car by forming a number of perforations having projections cutting into the damping sheet over the restraint layer. CONSTITUTION:A restraint layer 1 for restraining vibration is provided in such a way that a number of both spot base sections 2 which are formed into a dimple shape for spot welding by means of pressing a steel sheet and perforations 3 in a burring form having projections 3A on its outer circumference, are formed onto the layer. Subsequently, a damping sheet 4 having perforations 5, to which said spot base sections 2 are inserted, is piled on the back of the restraint layer 1, then is formed using an upper and a lower mold 7 and 8 which match the shape of a steel floor board 9 of a car in a form of a recess and a projection. In this case, the improvement of superposition between said items 1 and 4 is secured such that the projection 3A of respective perforations 3 in the restraint layer 1 is cut into the damping sheet 4. Then the formed product is arranged over the steel sheet floor 9 for forming them into a monolithic structure by means of thermal fusing. |
