PURPOSE:To easily perform an assembling work with high accuracy by setting and assembling a steel belt at a prescribed position with a guide roller, a guide plate, and a slider as guides. CONSTITUTION:To assemble a steel belt 10, first of all, the engaging part 28 of a guide roller 26 is engaged with the upper end part of a pulley 3, and the end part metal fitting 11 of the steel belt 10 is engaged from the lower end of a guide plate 29. And in a state that the end part metal fitting 11 is slided in an upper direction along the guide plate 29, the winding part 16 of the steel belt 10 is wound in an (alpha) winding, and it is slipped as it is in a lower direction until it is abutted with a stopper 32. In this state, the guide roller 26, the guide plate 29, and a slider 33 are supported respectively at the first - the third sliding grooves 23-25 at a supporting board 22, and the supporting board 22 is set at a carriage mechanism part. And the end part mounting part 21 of the steel belt 10 is hooked at a belt hooking member 34, and the guide plate 29 is pushed in a carriage 6 with a finger.
