PURPOSE:To restrain the reduction of heat insulating effect due to flow of sea water by providing a gap between the outer face of a pressure resistant hull and heat insulator in a submarine and inserting into the gap a flat rubber container having equalizing holes for allowing the entering and exiting of external sea water. CONSTITUTION:A deep sea submarine 1 has a spherical pressure resistant hull 2 having the outer periphery covered with a plurality of heat insulating blocks 3. In this case, to the outer face of the pressure resistant hull 2 is bonded a plurality of rubber containers 4 into which are inserted the heat insulators 3 to cover the outer periphery of said hull 2 while the outer faces of the heat insulators 3 are fixed to each other by studs 5. And each rubber container 4 is formed on the bottom with some gaps 7 between the bottom and the inner end of heat insulator 3. Thus, sea water A entering the gap 7 enters and exits equalizing holes 6 by the difference of compressibility between the pressure resistant hull 2 and the heat insulator 3 under high hydraulic pressure of deep sea to compensate for capacity change caused by the compression difference.
