PURPOSE:To ensure the sufficient time allowed for power generation braking as well as to prevent cover-current from flowing into an armature circuit by delaying the transfer of drive signals when the rotational direction of a wiper motor is switched over. CONSTITUTION:An output signal from a wiper blade position detector 104 detecting the operating position of a wiper blade, is selected by a selection circuit 105, and said circuit 105 is switched over by a selection command circuit 106 depending on the output signal from a wiper actuating switch 103 which is to be used for selecting the operating condition of a wiper motor 101. Wiper motor drive signals are outputted from a drive signal output circuit 107 based on the output signal from both of the selection circuit 105 and the wiper actuating switch 103. Furthermore, a normal and a reverse signal are outputted from a memory circuit 108 depending on the signal from the selection circuit 105. And a normal/reverse selection circuit 109 is switched over based on said normal and reverse signals for outputting the drive signal with a certain time delayed by means of either a time interval circuit 41 or 42.
