PURPOSE:To increase the thickness of a resin by forming a projecting part having an insulating characteristic to the position facing the edge of an insulating layer provided via a gap layer on a lower magnetic layer thereby damming up the flow of the insulating resin to be coated thereon. CONSTITUTION:The lower magnetic layer 2a consisting of a thin ferromagnetic film, the gap layer 3 consisting of a nonmagnetic material and the insulating resin layer 4 are successively formed on a nonmagnetic substrate 1. The layer 4 is then etched to form the insulating layer 4a and the resin layer 4x having the edge 4xe facing the edge 4ae of the layer 4a. The resin layer is then cured by heating to form the insulating layer 4b having the inclined edge and the projecting part 4y. A conductor 5a is thereafter formed on the layer 4b and the insulating resin is coated over the entire surface to form the insulating layer 6. The flow of the resin is dammed up by the projection 4y and is filled into the valley, by which the layer 6 is made substantially thick. A conductor 7a, an insulating layer 8b and an upper magnetic layer 9 are formed in succession thereof. The layers 6b, 8b are thickly formed and therefore, the contact of the conductors 5a, 7a with the layer 9 is eliminated. |
