PURPOSE:To correctly detect room temperature by generating an ion wind in the direction of a counter electrode plate from the neighborhood of a discharge electrode. CONSTITUTION:When the high voltage is applied between the discharge electrode 5 and the counter electrode plate 6 from a power source 7, an electric field is concentrated on the discharge electrode 5 and the corona discharge takes place. Then, a large quantity of ion is generated close to the discharge electrode 5 in accordance with the corona discharge and both the ion and a neutral molecule are moved in the direction of the counter electrode plate 6 to generate the ion wind. In other words, the room air is inhaled into a detector from an inlet port 9 of a cover 3 by the ion wind and is charged from a discharge port 10 passing through a temperature sensor 2 via the counter electrode plate 6 in the arrow W and V direction. In this way, as long as the high voltage is applied between the discharge electrode 5 and the counter electrode plate 6, the room air is continuously sent into the detector. Accordingly, the fresh room air is always passed through the inside of the detector and the temperature sensor 2 can detect the room temperature correctly with a minimum time lag.
