PURPOSE:To permit easy handling of an electrostatic precipitator and to eliminate waste by presetting the max. value and min. value of an impressed voltage or current, detecting the values and emitting an abnormal signal when the values are out of a range. CONSTITUTION:A voltage or current detecting circuit 5 which directly detects the voltage or current change of a dust precipitation cell 1 connected to a current rectifier circuit 4 in a high-voltage power source circuit and a display part 6 such as light emitting diode which is lighted up and put out by the detecting circuit are provided to the high-voltage power source circuit for displaying the abnormality when an abnormal state arises in the electrostatic dust precipitation of the electrostatic precipitator. The max. value and min. value of the impressed voltage or current to constitute a clean dust precipitation function are preset and the signal is emitted by discriminating the increase side or decrease side as abnormality when the detected voltage or current is out of the preset range. The handling of the electrostatic precipitator is thereby made easy and the waste is eliminated.
