PURPOSE:To enable the taking-off of a used screen printing stencil without contaminating the hand or clothing of a worker, by respectively providing a pair of stencil take-up rolls to both lateral side plates of a cylindrical plate cylinder in a state rotatable on the same axis to each other and providing a stencil engaging means selectively engaging the screen printing stencil with each of said rolls. CONSTITUTION:The taking-off of a used screen printing stencil S is performed by grasping a reinforcing paper piece by a hand to detach the same from a cylindrical plate cylinder 10 and engaging the same with the stencil engaging pins 36, 38 of stencil take-up rolls 24, 26. Next, the cylindrical plate cylinder 10 is rotated in a counterclockwise direction and the screen printing stencil S is wound around the take-up rolls 24, 26 to be detached from the cylindrical plate cylinder 10. The taken-up screen printing stencil S is pulled off in the axial direction of the take-up rolls while bent by grasping the screen printing stencil at the intermediate position between a pair of the stencil take-up rolls to pull the same to the diameter direction thereof and taken out from the stencil take-up rollers to be discarded. Because the ink adhering surface of each stencil take-up roll is directed to the inside, the taking-off of the used screen printing stencil S is performed without contaminating the hand and clothing of a worker.
