PURPOSE:To obtain a photosensitive material which has an excellent shelf life prior to a developing process and is suitable for a quick process by incorporating a basic metallic compd. which is hardly soluble in water and water soluble salt of metallic ions to constitute the basic metallic compd. into said material. CONSTITUTION:The basic metallic compd. which is hardly soluble in water and is to be used is a compd. having <=0.5 solubility in water of 20 deg.C and is exemplified by compds. such as calcium carbonate, balium carbonate and zinc hydroxide which are not colored. The water soluble salt of the metallic ions to constitute the basic metallic compd. which is hardly soluble in water has preferably the solubility of >=10 times the solubility of the basic metallic compd. in water of 20 deg.C and is exemplified by the hydrochlorate, sulfate, nitrate, etc. of the metallic ions. The dissolution of the zinc hydroxide is suppressed, the pH of a coating film is decreased and the deterioration of an emulsion, dye applying compd., reducing agent, etc., is suppressed if, for example, the water soluble zinc sulfate is added to the coating film in the case of using, for example, zinc hydroxide as the basic metallic compd. |
