PURPOSE:To provide a powdery cosmetic, especially powdery makeup cosmetic or body powder, etc., containing powdery boron nitride and having remarkably improved smoothness, adhesivity and durability on the skin. CONSTITUTION:A cosmetic containing 0.1-100wt% boron nitride powder having particle diameter of 0.01-200mu. Boron nitride is a chemically and thermally stable substance and stably miscible with inorganic pigment (e.g. talc, titanium oxide, ultramarine, etc.), tar dye, squalane, higher fatty acid, surfactant, etc., used as a conventional cosmetic component. The surface of the boron nitride may be coated with baked layer of silicones and various oiling agents or modified by plasma treatment. The smoothness, adhesivity and durability of the cosmetic on the skin can be remarkably improved by the addition of powdery boron nitride. Especially excellent effect can be attained in the case of powdery cosmetics. |
