PURPOSE:To easily spin the titled modified cross-section glass fiber by providing many protrudent nozzles of the modified shape to a bushing plate material at regular intervals, and spinning molten glass out of the nozzle hole. CONSTITUTION:Many protrudent nozzles 13 of the modified shape are zigzag arranged on the bushing plate material 11 at regular intervals. The nozzle can be formed in the desired shapes such as an elliptic shape, a peanut shape, a T shape, and a cross shape. Molten glass G is spinned out from the hole 12 of the nozzle 13 by using the obtained bushing 10 for spinning the modified cross-section glass fiber. The molten glass G speads over the surface at the tip of the protrudent nozzle 13 while wetting the surface, and is drawn under such conditions. Consequently, a glass fiber F having an elliptic cross section, etc., identical with the external form of the protrudent nozzle 13 is spun. |
