PURPOSE:To enable an ink supply film to be rapidly adjusted to an optimum thickness by applying a voltage independently in an adjustable manner between an ink fountain metal roller and a plurality of electrodes arranged on the inner surface of an insulative wall material which forms an ink reservoir with the roller. CONSTITUTION:An insulative wall material 11 is arranged in close proximity with an ink fountain metal roller 1 to form an ink reservoir, and many insulative partitions 12 are provided internally in a width direction so that many small chamber 14 may be formed. Then a plurality of independent electrode are arranged on the inner surface of each insulative wall of the chamber 14 along the running direction of ink. An electrode 15 which applies a voltage independently in an adjustable manner is connected to each electrode 13, and then the other end of a power supply 15 is connected to the ink fountain metal roller 1. To control the thickness 5 of an ink supply film through the magnitude of an electric power generated by application of a voltage, it is possible to adjust the thickness of the ink supply film rapidly. The design by which a plurality of a electrode 13 are mutually insulated and arranged enables the film thickness to be adjusted more minutely. |
