PURPOSE:To measure the content of water in bodies to be inspected speedily and accurately by drying the bodies to be inspected and measuring the difference between the weight values of the object before and after the drying process. CONSTITUTION:Bodies A to be inspected which flow on a conveyor line B are put in a storage box 1 and then an arm part C is moved to above a heater 9. The surface in the box 1 is leveled by a scraper 13 in the middle of the movement to make the weight of the bodies A to be measured constant. The arm part C is stopped over the heater 9 and the weight of the bodies A to be inspected is measured; and the bodies A are heated and dried by the heater 9 and the weight is measured again. Then, the content of water in the object bodies A is measured speedily and accurately from variation in weight about the drying process.
