PURPOSE:To make a commercially marketed sheet-like material usable as an image receiving material by transferring a dye or pigment to the image receiving material by using a photosensitive material having a photosensitive layer contg. the dye or pigment. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive material having the photosensitive layer contg. silver halide, reducing agent, polymerizable compd., and dye or pigment on a base is subjected to imagewise exposure to form the latent image of the silver halide thereof. Such material is subjected to a developing process simultaneously with or after the imagewise exposure to polymerize and cure the polymerizable compd. in the part formed with the latent image and to immobilize the dye or pigment in the cured part. While the image receiving material is held superposed on the photosensitive material subjected to the developing process, both materials are pressurized to transfer the dye or pigment in the incurred part by which the image formation is executed. The dye or pigment is preferably used in a 0.5-50wt% range of the polymerizable compd. The image receiving material to be used can be constituted of various kinds of stocks including commercially marketed stocks. |
