PURPOSE:To easily and electrically remove a magnetic field component from a detection coil system by outputting a magnetic field signal corresponding to an exciting current and a magnetism signal corresponding to the composite output of a synthesizer. CONSTITUTION:The exciting current is supplied to an exciting coil 5 to produces a magnetic field proportional to the exciting current by the exciting coil 5 and the magnetic field signal proportinoal to the magnetic field is obtained by a current detection resistance 8. Further, mutually opposite-phase signals of the detection output of the resistance 8 are applied to both terminals of a potentiometer 10. When the exciting coil 5 is excited, on the other hand, the magnetic field from the exciting coil 5 and a magnetic field based upon the magnetism of a sample inserted into a magnetism detection coil 1 are supplied to the magnetism detection coil 1, from which a detection signal is obtained and integrated by an integrator 3. The synthesizer 4 composes a signal of a compensatting signal obtained by the movable adjustment of the movable terminal 10a of the potential meter and the integral output of the integrator 3. Consequently, a magnetic field component is removed and only the magnetism signal proportional to the magnetism of the sample is outputted from the synthesizer 4.
