PURPOSE:To easily perform the replacement of a filter medium by enabling a filter face of the lower part of a filter tank to be taken off. CONSTITUTION:A filtering process is performed by introducing suspension A through an inlet 5 into a tightly closed filter tank 1 wherein a discharge port 15 for filter cake is closed and a filter cake discharging process is performed by taking off a cover of the discharge port 15 to open and driving a motor 16 to rotate a shaft 12 and scraping filter cake C by the scrapers 13 for filter cake and also sending the filter cake C to the discharge port 15 and discharging it through the discharge port 15. The replacement of a filter medium is performed by taking off a clamp wherein both an upper-end flange part 21 of a filter face 3 and a flange part 21 of the filter tank 1 are clamped thereby and separating the filter face 3 from the filter tank 1 and transferring it to the other place good in workability. Furthermore after the replacement of the filter medium, it is carried under the filter tank 1 and both the upper-end flange part 21 of the filter face 3 and the flange part 21 of the filter tank 1 are joined and clamped by the clamp.
