PURPOSE:To obtain paper for a dust collecting bag which is excellent in dust collecting efficiency, small in pressure drop, high in strength and inexpensive by using combined filter having extremely fine denier synthetic fiber, wood pulp and PVA type binder fiber and making paper so as to become 35-60g/m<2> basis weight. CONSTITUTION:5-40% synthetic fiber which is extremely fine and has <0.5 denier, 50-93% wood pulp, and 2-20% PVA type binder fiber are blended and papermaking in a wet process is performed so as to become 35-60g/m<2> basis weight. As the combined fiber having extremely fine denier, PVA fiber polyacrylontrile fiber and polyester fiber, etc., are used but PVA fiber having 1-6mm fiber length and 90-110 deg.C submarine dissolution temp. is preferably used. Wood pulp having 300-750ml degree of beating in canadian standard freeness is used. Combined fiber such as rayon having 0.5-3 denier may be added to this mixed papermaking in a range of <=30%.
